Lan Guan graduated from the University of Michigan with an MBA in Computational Engineering and then did a Ph.D. in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from Wayne State University.
In 2000, Guan was appointed Analytics Manager at Quantum, a data management company.
In 2003, she took over as the global leader of Data & AI at Accenture Cloud First. Today, Guan leads all AI efforts as Chief AI Officer at Accenture and its Center for Advanced AI.
Lan Guan is also a founding member of the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI) – an AI research institute dedicated to improving human life.
