Praniti Lakhwara

Praniti Lakhwara, Chief Information Officer at Zscaler, where she leads the company’s global IT strategy and helps businesses stay secure online.

Lakhwara started her career in software consulting after earning a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Arizona State University. At Hari Seldon Group, she built healthcare IT solutions that automated core processes in the early days of digital adoption.

In 2001, she joined Align Technology and spent more than a decade scaling business systems, integrating global platforms, and launching major product lines.

After that, she held key leadership roles at Guidewire Software, Nimble Storage, acquired by Hewlett Packard Enterprise company in 2017, and Conga, driving major shifts to cloud-based tech and supporting fast growth through smart IT planning.

Since 2021, Praniti Lakhwara has been leading global IT strategy at Zscaler, a $45B company that helps businesses stay safe while working online. The company’s services are used by thousands of companies around the world. It handles over 500 billion online transactions a day and stops billions of cyber threats in real time.

Praniti focuses on scaling secure operations, driving innovation, and building tech systems that are ready for the future. Her leadership earned her the title of Bay Area CIO of the Year and a spot on Network World’s list of “20 Powerful Women Shaping the Networking Industry.”
